God Paid My Fees I had the desire to study MBA. I was working too at that time. So, I was saving money to pay my MBA fees the following year. I had one year left to prepare for the entrance and join the college because of which I left my employment too. As days went by and as I was saving money, there was a thought which came to me. The thought wondered whether I could give away all the money to God and would believe in his providence and faithfulness. Immediately, my flesh spoke and said that it was next to impossible, and I couldn’t even imagine giving away everything I saved. Then as days went by (at this time, I had 3 months left), I had a friend of mine who was just converted from a Hindu family and had been saved by the grace of God and his name is Mahesh. He told me that there was a pastor called Pastor Keith who uploaded all his messages for free on his website so that the gospel could reach the ends of the world. Hence, I started watching his messages online and God showed me some great things which I had not seen for the past 25 years. In one of his messages, he said that God
Seven days ago I heard a voice in my ears that said fast for you and your family. It was a direct instruction and I heard it clearly. I didn’t understand why God would ask me to fast again, because I had just finished a seven-day Fasting to usher myself into the new month. I told my wife about this voice I heard and she said to me. “If you heard a voice asking you to fast, then you should. The first fast was you performing a ritual you always do before a new month begins. This one is a direct instruction from God. Don’t play with it.” I took time to pray and began my fast. It has not been easy. The dreams and revelations I kept having during this period were divine. The numbers of VianceTea we sold last week exceeded the numbers I have sold in the past weeks. Three days ago, I told my wife that maybe God wanted me to fast so he could show us love this way. She told me she would join me in the fast for the remaining days just to say thank you to God as well. Today, before we left for Church, we broke the fast and we prayed heavily and we left for first service. After the close
Two years ago, I wasn’t living a good life. I was partying and doing sinful things. Nothing was good and I’d had enough, so I started going to church. I made God my priority. I have a relationship with the Lord. I pray multiple times a day. I attend church regularly. God has brought me out of debt. He has helped me have money in my savings. He has helped me to become a kinder, more patient person. I have been praying to God for a specific person that I love and now they are back, and we are working on having a godly relationship. God is mighty and merciful. I have faith in the Lord, and I am grateful to him for my journey. I never thought that I could change from my wicked ways, but I did. I come from a background of alcoholics and drug addicts, and I thought I could never break the generational curse. I used to think that just because I didn’t steal or you know, hunt for the money to get drunk that I was okay. I don’t need it every two days just to get drunk. Just because I didn’t throw up, I thought I wasn’t an alcoholic. I had Bibles all around my house, but I was spiritually broken, spiritually dead. I was living in a physical flesh, but I was dead spiritually. I turned my life over to God and asked him to cast out the evil spirits turn from my wicked ways and show me that God is real, and God is love. The Holy Trinity came upon me and surrounded me with blessings and guardian angels. God forgave me for my sins and heard my repentance from heaven. Today I am proud to say that I am 10 months clean and sober. I have no sobriety-threatening issues. I no longer sleep on the bridges or starve out of trash cans. I can keep a steady job and not get the first check and go get drugs with it. I do not have a
It gives me great pleasure to take this opportunity to share with you one of my testimonies regarding one of my income streams…that of child maintenance. For many years I received maintenance from my children’s father in an extremely haphazard manner. I would often get very frustrated when the agreed sum was not forthcoming. I would call him, text him, leave voicemails requesting that he pay up…often to no avail. During Pastor’s series “How to Unfix Your Income,” I eventually got to a place where I came to the realisation that I had been doing this all in my own strength. I literally gave up and gave it all to God. In prayer, I gave God control over the whole situation, fully recognising that He is my source; not my children’s father! The very next day, (and I mean the very next day!), I received my weekly maintenance for the first time in months. I hadn’t even had to ask for it. That was sixteen weeks ago and since then I have been receiving the correct amount on time and without asking. Isn’t God wonderful? The mortgage was behind and I needed four new tyres for my car, the other tyres’ dates were expiring. I asked the Lord how I could give. I had $15 so I sowed it the first night. Then I gathered up all my coins, totaling $23, and sowed that on the final night. The next day the funds came in to catch up the mortgage and to buy new tires. The tire shop put on the incorrect ones so I actually got an upgrade. They said they would just write off the difference and not make me pay. When I went to pay the mortgage, they said they would waive the late fee.
