God’s Plans Transcend our Comprehension

God’s Plans Transcend our Comprehension

God’s Plans Transcend our Comprehension In 2021, I applied for a PhD scholarship to pursue my studies in China and I was fortunate to be granted the opportunity. However, due to the travel restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic, I was unable to physically travel to commence my program, and instead, I had to resort to attending online classes. It wasn’t until February 2023 that the restrictions were relaxed, and I was finally able to apply for a visa and move to Shanghai. Upon my arrival, I was informed by my supervisor that the research project I was assigned required animal samples and due to the pandemic, such research had been suspended within my host institute. As a result, alternative arrangements were made for me to conduct my experiments in a different institute within the Pasteur Network located in Cambodia. The move was full of bureaucratic delays and there were challenges in obtaining permissions from the institute in China, which prompted my supervisor to make a crucial decision for me to relocate to Cambodia so as not to lose more time. A few months after settling into my new environment, my supervisor’s contract with the Chinese Institute came to an end, marking a turning point in my journey. I encountered numerous threats from the institute in Shanghai, causing me great

Surrendered to God

Surrendered to God

Hello guys, I want to share what God Almighty did for me. Visa renewal is a very anxious process that makes you pent up, lose sleep and uncertain about the future. Naturally, I lose sleep and get anxious when I have to fix my immigration status. I live in the UK currently and I have been looking for a job to sponsor me to continue to stay. My spouse is also employed and by the nature of her job, she can be sponsored. However, when she reached out, her employers were not forthcoming about it. This made me anxious, and I told her I could use the opportunity as an academic to get sponsorship. However, it looked as if I was hitting a wall. All the people I reached out to were not forthcoming. So, I surrendered to God and allowed Him to take over. Moreover, I prayed for grace through the trying times. Not to write long, but I want to testify before God that my wife’s employer came through and we paid less for the visa. We will be going for biometrics soon. I want to thank Jesus for this miracle and pray that he reaches to everyone. No matter what you are passing through God’s grace would see you through. Also Read: Devotional Responsiveness: How to Be

I Now Understood That I Was Not A Victim

I Now Understood That I Was Not A Victim

I now understood that I was not a victim and had all the authority over every circumstance in my life and that God loves me no matter my circumstances. Around the same period, we (and my children) had applied for visas to join my husband who was working in the UK. However, on our first attempt, the visa decision didn’t come our way yet we had spent a lot of money applying for them. The negative response was a huge setback to our plans I almost gave up because I could not imagine going through the rigorous process once again. However, the Holy Spirit strengthened me and every time I listened to the teachings from Rev. Kola & Funke, I was encouraged to keep going and my faith kept growing. The Second Attempt My husband & I decided that we were going to give it another try and apply a second time but the funds were not enough to apply for all the visas. So, we stepped up our faith through prayer and fasting and continued to rely on God’s promise through reading the word. My husband through  Men’s fellowship also committed our prayer request for the members to stand and agree with him that God would provide the money we needed to apply for the visas and for God’s
