Delivered by God: A 21-Day Fasting Testimony of Spiritual Freedom and Victory - A powerful Christian testimony of deliverance, spiritual warfare, and freedom through prayer and fasting
On February 20th, God began to open my eyes to something I had never fully understood about myself. He revealed that I had been operating under a spirit that was not from Him. It was a hard truth to face, but it was also the beginning of my freedom.
I responded with a 21-day fast.
That period was not easy. It was a time of deep reflection, prayer, and surrender. I began to seek God more intentionally, asking Him to cleanse me, guide me, and break anything in my life that did not align with His will.
One night during the fast, I had a frightening experience. As I lay in bed, I felt a force pressing me down, as if something was holding me in place. It was intense and unsettling. But in that moment, I called on God. I held on to His name, and just as suddenly as it came, the presence lifted.
I knew something had broken.
Throughout the fast, God kept drawing my attention to the story of Daniel. I found myself reflecting on the account of the three Hebrew men thrown into the fiery furnace by King Nebuchadnezzar. They were surrounded by fire, yet they were not consumed. God was with them in the midst of it.
That story became personal to me.
I began to understand that even in the heat of spiritual battles, God does not leave His people alone. His presence protects, refines, and delivers. The fire is real, but so is His power to preserve.
As I neared the end of the 21 days, a deep assurance settled in my heart. I was no longer fighting alone. God had stepped in and delivered me from what had felt like my strongest enemy. The fear that once gripped me gave way to peace. The struggle that once felt overwhelming lost its hold.
Today, I stand grateful.
God has shown me that He is powerful, that no force is greater than Him, and that He is always present for those who call on Him. What once felt like bondage has turned into a testimony of freedom.
If there is one thing I now know with certainty, it is this: God gives life, real life, full and abundant. When you turn to Him, confess Jesus as Lord, and repent, He brings restoration, healing, and a new beginning.
I thank God for never leaving me and for delivering me when I could not deliver myself.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
