Divine Intervention: Surviving a Car Fire Through God’s Protection - A true testimony of God’s guidance, timely intervention, and preserving life in the face of danger

It was an ordinary day. I was at home, moving from one chore to another, while my husband drove out of the compound to see the mechanic. Nothing unusual. Nothing dramatic. Just routine.

As he drove off, I suddenly felt a strong prompting to discuss something with him. It was not urgent, but it would not leave my heart. I called him back into the compound. He returned, though he was clearly in a hurry and suggested we postpone the conversation.

Moments later, he drove out again.

As soon as he got outside the gate, he noticed something alarming. The car was in flames.

Within minutes, the dashboard was badly damaged. What began as a normal trip turned into a frightening scene. My husband quickly reached for the fire extinguisher while I rushed for a bucket filled with soapy water. Those few minutes felt long and intense. The thought of what could have happened ran through my mind.

But God intervened.

The fire was put out. Yes, there was damage. The dashboard was destroyed, and the repair would not be minor. But my husband was not harmed. He was not burned. He was not trapped.

The car lock had been giving him trouble for some time. Sometimes it was difficult to open the doors. What if the fire had started while he was driving, and the faulty lock had prevented him from getting out? What if he had gone straight to the fuel station, as he initially planned, before seeing the mechanic? The outcome could have been devastating.

When I reflect on it, I see the hand of God in the small details. The prompting to call him back. The slight delay. The timing. The location of the fire was just outside our gate, rather than in traffic or at a fuel station.

The damage was serious, but it was repairable. The car has since been fixed. What could not have been repaired was a life.

I bless God for His protection. I thank Him for rescuing me from destruction. In what looked like a near disaster, I see divine preservation. God proved again that He watches over His own.

Praise the LORD!

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
