I have been trying to only speak words that God would approve, calling things that be not as though they were and calling myself prosperous. I received a $1500 Christmas bonus. Yesterday, I went through a drive-thru, and the people ahead of me paid for my breakfast. My next stop was the feed store for horse feed; that bill was paid, and I still have a credit. Instead of “there is more month left at the end of the money,” I have an abundance of money at the end of the month, and I am able to give to others. Back in 1997 to 1999, I and my husband were doing very well financially. We owned a business, we owned a mobile home that we financed for a couple, and we bought our first “real” home. The economy really slowed down, and we had to list our pretty home for sale, and we had to close our business. I believed in God, and I was so mad at Him! I knew since He could part the sea, bring the dead to life, shut lions’ mouths, move mountains, etc… He could’ve chosen to help us not lose our home or business. It took me a while to realise He was working all things for my good. The couple that was buying the trailer from us had to move. It worked out that we had a home to go back to. (God provided a roof. My husband found another job (God provided financially). The house that we had to sell, sold/closed 1 day before foreclosure, so it didn’t count against us. Through it all, God was with us, and He always has been. It was August and college was about to start. I have always had dreams of becoming an architect ever since I was 14. I didn’t want to do anything else in life. So right from then I started looking up universities in the US that are good for architecture. I found a couple but one school stood out to me, Syracuse University. I saw it as a place where I would fit right in. Plus at the time it was 4th best in the nation. It became my dream school. Fast forward to 2016 when it was time for me to apply to colleges. I applied to Syracuse university, but I was waitlisted. I started to think about whether this was really God’s plan for me or not. I had begged God to get me in but there I was, waitlisted. I didn’t understand why God would ask me to fast again, because I had just finished a seven-day Fasting to usher myself into the new month. I told my wife about this voice I heard and she said to me. “If you heard a voice asking you to fast, then you should. The first fast was you performing a ritual you always do before a new month begins. This one is a direct instruction from God. Don’t play with it.” I took time to pray and began my fast.
