For Too Long I Identified Myself Through My Past Experiences

For too long I identified myself through my past experiences. A lie that I believed is that who I am is defined by who I have been, what I have done, and where I have gone…There was nobody that I wanted to be. There was nothing that I wanted to do. There was nowhere that I wanted to go…I always looked backwards, dwelling on what I had done and where I had gone…There is this guy, I will tell you his name in a moment, but I look up to him more than anybody else. When he was asked who He was, He gave an answer that remains simple and profound: “I AM WHO I AM.”

It is a good name, and it really applies to all.
I want to follow in His footsteps. I desire to be as he was, as He is, and as He will be. I want to do what He did, what He does, and what He will do. I want to go where he went, where He goes, and where He will go
