Seven days ago I heard a voice in my ears that said fast for you and your family. It was a direct instruction and I heard it clearly.
I didn’t understand why God would ask me to fast again, because I had just finished a seven-day Fasting to usher myself into the new month.
I told my wife about this voice I heard and she said to me.
“If you heard a voice asking you to fast, then you should. The first fast was you performing a ritual you always do before a new month begins. This one is a direct instruction from God. Don’t play with it.”
I took time to pray and began my fast.
It has not been easy.
The dreams and revelations I kept having during this period were divine. The numbers of VianceTea we sold last week exceeded the numbers I have sold in the past weeks.
Three days ago, I told my wife that maybe God wanted me to fast so he could show us love this way. She told me she would join me in the fast for the remaining days just to say thank you to God as well.
Today, before we left for Church, we broke the fast and we prayed heavily and we left for first service.
After the close of church today, while driving, I kept feeling my eyes close. I wasn’t sleepy but I felt an urge to close my eyes. At some point, it felt my eyes had closed for a split second. When I opened it, I saw an upcoming vehicle, speeding in my direction. Everyone in the car shouted “Jesus” I swerved to the right and this car sped past me.
I quickly pulled over after I had escaped that accident that was to be a fatal one. The driver who had sped past apologized. According to him he was having a failed break and didn’t know how to slow down.
While I was driving home, my wife said to me.
“Babe, this was the reason for the fast.”
I nodded in agreement.
Hear me,
God moves in different dimensions, it might not be a word you’ll hear. In some situations, it could be what you call a feeling in your heart. When you hear that feeling, run to God in prayers and fast if the spirit pushes you to.
Prayer works and also, always listen to your inner man because that’s your spiritual guide.
