God Saved Me From What Would Have Been a Fatal Accident

God Saved Me From What Would Have Been a Fatal Accident

I want to thank the Lord for saving my daughter and me from what would have been a fatal accident. Pastor J said at the last Thursday Showers that we should leave the control of our lives to the Good Shepherd. He spoke on how we do not have control over anything in life, including how other road users use it, and how one event can change the trajectory of one’s life. On that same day, these pieces of wisdom from Pastor J were demonstrated to me in life by the Lord. After the service, I drove with my daughter to Victoria Island on a lunch date with an old family friend. When we were leaving the Island, we got on the Falomo bridge from Akin Adeshola Street and hit a traffic light immediately, and I had to stop. I usually keep an eye on vehicles around me, so I glanced at my rear-view mirror out of habit. To my horror, I noticed a heavy garbage truck and three cars behind us thundering towards our line of cars. I could see that it was moving too fast to stop towards the last car in the queue. I was praying and calling on Jesus. It happened so fast, and there was no way I could move out of the lines of

Survived A Truck Accident

Survived A Truck Accident

Hallelujah!! Praise the living God. I have come to return praise to God for all the wondrous works he has done in my life. I recently lost a brother and was travelling back home with some friends for his funeral. We had an accident along the way, our car was behind a long trailer (truck) in the speed lane. Unknown to us, a pedestrian who we later discovered was deaf ran in to cross the road after the trailer not realizing that our car was behind. Unfortunately, and tragically, it was a head-on collision as there was no time and space to manoeuvre to avoid the collision. Except for minor scratches from the splintered windscreen, none of the five persons in our car were hurt. This spot is notorious for accidents as we were later told by the police, that three days after the accident another accident happened around the same place with three casualties. So, like the Samaritan woman and the leper, I have come to return all glory to God for all he has done for me and implore you all to help me thank Him for finding me worthy of being among the living. I also pray he will continue to deliver us all from the fowler’s snare in Jesus’ name. Amen. Try God Also Read: Expecting

I Was A Pretender

I Was A Pretender

I am so glad to get this opportunity to share my testimony (of how I came to the saving grace and knowledge of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ) with you!!! (As the scriptures say, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”). Those written words came from the mouth of God, written by Paul, as a letter to the Ephesians in Ephesians chapter 2, verses 8 and 9. I have seen these scriptures play out in my own life. I would first like to point out… I am not one of the experts in theology; trust me, I have had to open the Word, time and time again, going back and forth across God’s own writings, breathed from His own perfect lips, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy chapter 3, verse 16…) I am not to be called worthy whatsoever!!! I have done things that I am not proud of; I have lied, cheated, and done dirty things that have been deserving of death in the Old Testament… how then can I ever be called a servant of The Most High God? How can I have ever been described as “good and faithful?” It is only by

Last night I had a late Pilates class. And at the end of the class, we had one movement on a machine. However, my necklace got caught and I couldn’t get up. It was pretty tight around my neck, and I struggled to lose myself and I was about to call for help but the necklace was untangled from the machine. when I was cleaning up, my necklace fell, and I thought it was broken. When I got home, I examined my necklace a bit further to see how it would need to be repaired and saw that it wasn’t broken but separated. The hook remains attached, but its chain detached from it without any brokenness. I wish I could attach a picture to show it. A couple asked him if he knew Jesus and he said no and the couple led him to salvation. Jesus can be anywhere in the evening in a trailer park. Of all the people I know, Clyde was the one who helped me with my walk with God the most. Sadly, to say Clyde died. This testimony is in memory of my friend Clyde.
