Not long after I shared the testimony of how God has barraged me with blessings upon blessings after pledging toward the building project and then redeeming my pledge, He seems to be telling me I haven’t seen
anything yet.
After the pledge, some days after my testimony was read, a client called from outside the country concerning a job he wanted us to do for him. He needed to pay us for the job, so he asked if we have a dollar account. I said no. He asked me to go and open one and not long afterward, he deposited some thousands of dollars into our new account. We have not
even invoiced him for the project yet, but he had mobilised with thousands of dollars to get on it.
Secondly, after the pledge, when I returned from church first Sunday in March, I received a call from a big time consultant in Nigeria whom I got to know through a casual referral. He told me that a particular state in the country had engaged him to handle a technical aspect of its Economic Summit which would be holding soon. He told me in confidence that is not
the kind of job he is looking for at this stage.
So he would be ceding it to us to do. Now the project involves my having to train officials of the state government and people from other consultancy outfits who were shortlisted to work with us on the project. And the pay is good. The man also said the reason he is bringing us in now is for us to be known by the state government, so that he can then recommend us to
them for engagement on this particular job in future, as he gradually steps aside. Supernatural favour!
Also, after the pledge, one Monday morning, I received a call from someone I met casually during a trip to Abuja. The guy works in one of the oldest multinationals around and was on a team of a particular project we handled for some clients. This particular project was at a crisis stage before we were called in, as the organisers overlooked a very important aspect without which the project would have been a flop.
So we were called in just some days to the programme to do damage control. I myself was sceptical about what can be done in just six days. But I tapped into the corporate anointing of Supernatural Strength in the House and then rallied my colleagues and other third parties to get on it.
To the glory of God, we turned the imminent tide of failure around and the programme turned out successful. In fact, they even told us they are planning two more of such for the year. Still after the pledge, and back to the call I received that morning. This guy asked me how soon I could come to Abuja, as he wanted us to bid for a related service at the on-going National Conference. Knowing the Abuja politics, I wasn’t so committal because I didn’t want to waste money on air fares and hotels only to be told that someone else has got the job.
But he persisted until I finally agree to send in a proposal instead. Some days later, he called me that our proposal has been approved and I should come over to Abuja. Like Thomas, I said I am not coming until I have concrete evidence that we really have the job.
When the conference started, this man called again that they are waiting for us at the secretariat of the Conference. So, I finally agreed to travel to Abuja last Monday, the second week of the conference. It was while I was there that I realised the import of the Supernatural Favour that God has bestowed on us.
Apparently, there have been several people bidding for the job. Someone had even come in and set up machineries to do the job. But she was told that the job had been given to someone else; that is me who was still dallying in Lagos. So she left.
I was taken to meet the Media person and the head of the Secretariat of the Conference who both confirmed to me that many people had bid for the job. In fact, the people who handle the same service for the Presidency had applied too, but they were all staved off for us because, in their own words, we came in “highly recommended” for the project. Right there in the office of the Secretary, I also saw a proposal from a very well-known name and pioneer of one of the leading banks in Nigeria bidding for the same job. But the job was given to us who were not part of the whole process of lobbying nor have any so-called godfather over there, except the Father of fathers, Jehovah Elohim, Who has granted us
Supernatural Favour to be chosen one.
To cap it all, I also was able to buy a 5-bedroom fully detached house in a highbrow part of Lagos worth about N50 million without a mortgage or having the bulk of the money at the beginning of the transaction.
To God, indeed and alone, be the glory.
