The Day that Changed My Life

I was only 15 years old two years ago and had been through a lot. I had gone through abuse and mistreatment, only getting out of it a few years before. I have practised witchcraft, voodoo, and demonology. One night, I tried to summon a powerful demon to grant me something I badly wanted. As I was about to light the candle and begin the ritual, I heard a voice say “If you do this, I cannot save you.”

I dropped the lighter. A lot was rushing through my head but in the end, I put the stuff away and went to bed. It was then that I realised that what I really wanted was peace, so I searched every major world religion to find it. Eventually, I broke down and cried out to anyone who was listening that if God didn’t show himself, I would end my life.

A couple of weeks later, I started going to church. After a few months of going, I had a life-changing experience. The pastor stated that anyone who wanted to pray in front of a communion table (basically our holy altar to God where we collected offerings and did communion) would be allowed to.

A few weeks later, the Lord commanded me to do it. So I did. I had an incredible vision of a cross that was disappearing, representing Christ not being strong in my life, along with many others. The most important vision I had was of me being on one side of a black ocean, and the Lord on the other. In the end, I ran to the Lord, jumping into his arms. Immediately after I jumped up and was dizzy, and that day changed my life.

Now I am very devoted to Christ. Praise be to the Lord.
