We were at a loss.  We had lost our daughter to cancer and we were not going to lose our granddaughter to drugs.  We had tried everything we knew or heard of.  A counsellor suggested a Christian  Ministry.  We were not a religious family, but a long-term program was what our granddaughter needed to kick the habit and get away from the life she was involved in.

It was peaceful and beautiful. The students seemed happy and everyone was welcoming.  Of course, our granddaughter was not buying it.  A year or more was more than she could fathom or commit to.  We told her again she could not live with us if she was a drug addict. She stated she would quit, but it didn’t happen.  She decided to give God a shot. Sierra had her ups and downs but this was the best decision she had ever made.

Sierra stayed and a year and became the person we knew she could be.  She has gained confidence, good work ethic, acceptance of who she is and a desire to be a productive member of society.
